Can I change the processor on my laptop? and if so which is the best one I can upgrade to?
I have an Asus K55N-DB81

looks like an A10-4600 is possible.

Usually you are not able to change the processor in a laptop. Sorry but not going to happen, if you want more performance out of your laptop you can upgrade your ram or upgrade to a sdd.

I don't know, windows or software never know if a processor is BGA or LGA.

Only way to find out is to take a look for yourself, undo the back of the laptop and see if you can see any type of CPU socket where the cpu cooler isn't blocking it.
