I was given a Toshiba Satillite L450 Series laptop. It powers up but has no screen activity. I hooked it to a seperate monitor but still no signal. I tried removing the battery and holding the power button down, but still nothing. Can anyone suggest what the problem may be and if there is a fix.
Thank you, Jack

Yeah, that sounds like a RAM issue. There are also other things that could be happening, but we won't venture down that road unless the RAM is functioning correctly. If you have a few spare RAM sticks, or another computer with compatible RAM, try swapping them out regardless of what the memory check says. Sometimes they're dead but memory checks say they aren't.

Hm.. Has the laptop ever been overheated before? Perhaps it fried the graphics card. If so, chances are you're out of luck because it's most likely soldered directly to the motherboard.
