Thinking about purchasing the above barbone system. Figured I'd buy 8.1 for $100 and use my old 500 gb hard drive that I just replaced on my ps4 for my hard drive. Is this possible, if so, how do i prepare the ps4 hd to be used in the system and then how do i install windows 8.1 without a cd drive?

Solution
You will need to remove the ps4 formatting and format it for windows use. this can be done when setting up windows through the advanced install menu, or plug it into a pc now, delete any/all partitions, and format it all through the disk management utility.

to install windows you'll need a bootable usb drive. to create it, download the iso from microsoft (or use the dvd you'll get when you buy your copy) and create a bootable usb stick from it. there are many ways to create the usb installer but i use poweriso as its free and real easy to use.
