I'm wondering, if you can unlock the USB in SHARP lc-46dh65e? I mean - you can easly use it to play music or show photos, but can it be used to play video? I pulled this trick off on my LG 37LH3000, but i can't find any information about it on the internet.

yes, i know. but manual for the LG i mentioned didn't say anything about USB (it's a "service port"). but i've found a way, to go into the service mode and unlock the usb, so now it reads almost everything - music, photos, videos (including mkv with subs). that's, why i'm asking

Two different things, that LG TV had the ability to use USB for video but it was just disabled (the manual for it has it listed for some models). The Sharp does not.
