I had my HP dv6 6177 laptop for like 4 years and did clean it regularly by blowing air with compressor in the fan vents. Two days ago I did open it as I read that It is better to change the thermal compound every year or two in case you play games and laptop keeps heating. I cleaned everything and applied MX4 but it was the first time applying thermal compound so did add little amount and spread evenly but didn't press with a credit card to make a thin coat. Then I did put the heatsink back and did tighten the screw well to make sure excess thermal compound is squeezed out and there is good contact. I didn't take a picture after putting the thermal compound as I took pictures only for parts.

Laptop is working fine but I want to make sure that the temperatures are fine and application or mx4 was good as well so did the prime95 which the first time I use it along with realtemp and took this screen shot.

so max under 100% load for like 10 min reached 75C on one of the cores and lower on the others. I do use a laptop cooler as well. Are these temperature readings normal? I am not overclocking or anything just everything is default setting.

Thank you very much :)
