Hi,,, I've been looking for some laptops with these functions :

- light (4.5 pounds at the very most), thin

- Touch screen feature

- SSD along with about 1 TB HDD

- 12~16 GB RAM

- great keyboard suited for work

- Fast wireless connection

- quad-core CPU

- GPU suited for gaming.. (not very very intensive gaming but if it could run battlefield 4 high settings on very smooth FPS I'm very happy)

So I've found lotta laptops that came VERY CLOSE to my ideal specs...but all were missing one thing or another...

I would have chose GS60 ghost pro laptop without doubt ONLY IF it had touch screen...

this was the closest laptop to my ideal.. if only i can find another laptop just like this with touch-screen function..

I would have chose ln303 laptop without doubt if it had more HDD and better GPU..

I would have chose new razer blade 14 inch.. if it had more RAMS and hard drive

And bunches of other great gaming laptops with touch screen and other requirements were
just too heavy for me to choose it.. ( I don't want them to be any heavier than around 2.0 kg really)

then I found dell XPS15? which are very close to my ideal spec but I'm wondering if I could find other laptop with slightly better graphics card..

Do you guys have any suggestion? I am a big fan of gaming and also use computer for so many different purposes which requires me to have better GPU CPU RAM.. I also wanted touch screen feature so that it could be perfect for work and large harddrive along with SSD for long-term use

my previous gaming laptop always were too heavy to carry.. so I'm now looking for something that's light and fit for work

I would really appreciate some suggestons :( as I said, as for graphics card, I'm happy if battlefield 4 runs on medium ~ high settings with smooth FPS (that is, like 50~60)

Thank you very much!!!!

+++++ price is not too much of a concern, if all my ideal spec fulfills, I don't care how much I spend for it.. I wasn't able to find one
I'm looking forward to use this laptop for at least 3 years.. if all holds, I will be very happy if its around 1700 dollars
(but if I could find laptop just like GS60 ghost but with touch screen feature, I won't care how much I spend on it)

Solution
go for the lenovo y50

PRo

gtx 860 m

i7 4700 HQ

touch screen version is aroung=d 1100$. best price/performance raito

dual fans , and really silent so less temps even under heavy load

1 inch thick and its 2.4 kg which is light for a gaming laptop

CON

the screen is a bit under par

you dont get a slot for an ssd(to keep it cheap and thin and light)

external optical drive will be give for free to compensate the lack of an internal one

hope it helps!!

yes! this is great suggestion :D

I've just looked at it too, Everything looks really perfect for me except that I am a little concerned about the weight

its about 2.4 kg and I've been using 2.17 kg laptop and was very satisfied

Some people however told me that 2.4kg will be a bit too heavy for carrying purpose

one said difference between 2.1 and 2.4 are quite significant when it comes to laptop

do you think is this about the lightest it can gets with such spec?

I'm still looking for lotta options to choose from..

Thank you very much for your suggestion though

well i think this is the lightest at this budget range. Brother owns it , and dont worry you will get used to it and now i dont feel the weight (well i have to sometime climb 14Floors of my univ to get to my class wih this laptop ,so i can say that it puts a bit of strain if you carry it around too long )

but for short distances or carrying it in a automobile is good

hope it helps!!

if you have found an alternative post it here and pick a solution!

Cheers
