Hello!

My dad recently bought a demo Panasonic plasma TV (TC-P60GT50) from future shop but can't seem to connect it to his old stereo. Panasonic product page, User manual

I sent him a digital to analog audio converter (FiiO D03K) but it only works with netflix when he changes the audio setting to stereo within netflix.

After some research (and per the included note with the converter), I find that the TV audio output needs to be set to PCM but he can't find the setting for that in the menu and I can only help him over the phone. According to this flash tutorial on the panasonic website, the setting should be easy to access but the "digital audio selection" option isn't where it is described to be. Page 19 of the user manual says "DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: PCM/Dolby Digital, Fiber Optic".

Is anyone able to help me with this? How can I set the audio output to PCM?

Unfortunately, I do not know the make or model of the stereo but I can get that information tomorrow if necessary.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the response. It turns out the TV won't convert non-PCM to PCM. It will only pass on the source signal type so the converter will have to be able to handle all relevant source types.

So it sounds like I'll have to look in to that link you provide. When I click on it though it asks me to log in. Are you able to provide another link?

EDIT: nevermind, I just removed wholesale from the link and it worked.
