Can't hear audio in headphones using a 2 to 1 jack

Hi,

I've bought a 2 to 1 jack for my headset with mic as my lenovo g500 only has a headphone jack in, no mic in.
I can record myself clearly now, but cannot hear any audio.

Does anyone hav any ideas?

Assuming you checked all physical and software volume adjustments?

Have you tried another speaker/headphone or tried your headphones in a different computer?

OMG I'm so stupid. Totally didn't realise that there's a volume control on the headset! THANKS"!!!!! :ouch:
