I'm always on the lookout for new strategy war games and it seems as though the smart phone market seems to struggle in providing a solid platform. The best game I have played so far is a turn based game called 'age of strategy'. Although the graphics are simple the level of detail gone into providing a strategy game beats everything I have played so far. There are great ai maps and then an ever increasing multiplayer following where you can really test your skills against other players. If anyone finds anything near as good as this please please let me know. Thanks.

Battle for Wesnoth is a great strategy game. A bit old-school, in terms of how it plays. Think Fire Emblem, or Tactics Ogre if you are familiar with either of those series. Not sure if the mobile version is more limited than the PC version; the PC version supported user created campaigns and missions, which added a lot more replayability to it. Even without that, it still amounts to almost 100 hours of gameplay. Great choice for less than $5.
