I just received a gopro as a gift but it will not work on my old Windows XP computer, so I'd like to buy a new general purpose laptop.
I have two Windows-only programs that I use a lot so I don't want to go with a Mac.
Other than being able to operate the gopro, I don't need and don't want to pay for high performance. Want a decent sized screen, like 15 inches, want good battery life. Almost any new laptop seems to come with enough ram and a big enough hard drive.
I've started to look at laptops like the Dell 15.6" Inspiron, Intel Core i3-4030U processor
4GB memory; 1TB hard drive, 15.6" display.
Where do laptops stand in terms of cpu speed and graphics? Most laptops seem to have weak graphics hardware; but will they function at least tolerably with gopro video editing?
