Hello. I have a Sony Vaio SVE151G13M laptop that came with Windows 8. All of a sudden the laptop began refusing to boot and when I power it on it shows me a message that it's going to attempt to do a repair. That screen lasts for a minute or two and then I am lead to a total black screen. (I have waited up to 1 hour for something to show up but nothing showed up).

What I have tried:
Downloaded an evaluation ISO from microsoft since I don't have an original DVD with me and burned it to both DVD and USB flash drives in hope of temporary restoring my computer, but it didn't work. I have set the BIOS settings to boot from either the CD/DVD drive first or an external device (USB) and all I see is the loading screen which either leads to a black screen or it's loading forever and nothing ever happens.

Tried manually booting from a CD/DVD or USB flash drive by using the F11 option but that leads to a "operating system not found" message.

Tried pressing the F10 option in the Assist menu to recover but that also just leads me to a black screen and sometimes it loads forever.

Checked to see if the hard drive is being recognized in the BIOS and it definitely is.

I'm really confused right now, what do I have to do?

UPDATE: After changing the boot from UEFI to Legacy, it is able to recognize both the disk and USB flash drive. I see the Windows 8 logo with a loading circle below it for 20-30 seconds and I am then once again lead to a black screen.
