How to get rid of adware

I have adware and its stopping me from connecting to the internet so how do I get rid of it? I have avg and it says it cant remove access is denied

you have a virus from another pc download to a usb stick malware bytes and hitman pro. boot up into safe mode with networking and run them and see if they remove the virus. also use msconfig look for any toolbars or other 3 party software loaded at start up also run hijackthis to check. in msconfig on the start up tab turn everything off but anti virus. also download the newest version of avg or avast and then uninstall the version you have and try to see if you can remove the virus. if you cant avg and other anti virus people have free virus recovery disks. boot from the disk and try removing the virus.

See if you can start in safe mode with networking. If you have internet access then download Malwarebytes Free. Install it
and run a full scan. delete the bad stuff. If you do not have internet access in safe mode youneed to down load viper rescue to a thumb drive. Open windows and run it. Download adwcleanerand run it. Get rid of Avg. start using Microsoft security essentials for win 7. windows defender for 8.0 and 8.1.

Adware ISNT a virus. Use something like adwcleaner. Uninstall the program that installed the adware first its usually in programs and features / whatever

Run it click on scan wait for it to finish then click on clean wait for it to finish then reboot

Stick the thumb drive in the usb port. Find the download on the Internet an when you click download choose Save as and save the file to the thumb Drive.
