I don't know if this relates to your issue or not but I just received a 32gb micro sd card from an ebay seller. At $10 I thought it might be too good to be true. It was. The card was reported defective when tested with h2testw. I was able to partition the card to use only the first 8gb leaving the remaining 24gb as unallocated space. I supposed that's better than tossing it in the trash. I suggest testing your card with a micro sd adapter on a computer first to be sure that it works dependably and is not a fake like mine. Both internal storage and external storage are labeled as SD but the external sd card is...
What happens when you put it in the tablet? Is the tablet even aware that a card was inserted or not? (go to the settings menu and look in Storage and see if there is an external card.)

It may need to be formatted, it may be broken, your iconia may be broken, or the iconia may not work with cards that large. Do you have any cards that DO work in the iconia?
