How can I increase my dedicated video graphics?

Hi guys!

Im new here.
I would like to know If I can increase my dedicated video memory.
An somehow overclock my laptop.
Well in other words.... I want to do something so I can play games more fluid, faster!
(And if I can, instructions plz) :bounce:

My specs:
Processor: AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.70GHz
RAM: 8 (7.20 usable)
64-bit Operating System
Total Available Graphics Memory: 4197MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 768MB
System Video Memory: 0MB
Shared System Memory: 3429MB
Windows 7 Professional - Service Pack 1
(Can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro)
HP ProBook 455 G1

This Laptop is slightly upgraded cause usually this ones are not configured like this. :wahoo:

well you can download MSI afterburner and set it up and it allows you to overclock the gpu but overclocking can damage your GPU so be care to not overclock beyond its limit i would go up every 10 mhz and test it out with games to see if thats the right fps you want

The AMD A6 chips are great APU's, for what they are. Laptops aren't really designed to be overclocked. They simply don't have the cooling capabilities to keep up with it. If you want some faster performance, Get yourself a Solid State Drive instead of your regular hard drive and upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. Then, Maximize your RAM on your laptop to the most that it is capable of, which will leave more memory available for processing as well as more memory available for graphics side of things too.

Most laptops max out between 8GB and 16GB of RAM. And as far as Solid State Drives go, The Kingston V300 SSD's are relatively cheap at usually under $100 for a 240GB one from Newegg.. And if none of that is still fast enough, sell your laptop. Get a new one with an i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a dedicated 880m graphics card.

i dont think he really wants to upgrade anything he just wants to overclock

And overclocking a laptop is usually a losing proposition becasue it has very limited cooling and he could seriously decrease component life by cooking his laptop. So, Upgrading would be a more realistic performance upgrade that would yield safer results.
