I have an older model (2008) Samsung 28" TV. I have our Sony Vaio laptop and a PS3 connected to the HDMI inputs (both have video and audio at the TV). I also have a Wii Mini connected to the AV1 input (also with video and audio to the TV). We purchased a Bose CineMate 10 surround sound system and connected it to the TV's optical output, but only sound from the Wii comes out the surround sound. I have tried to connect the PS3 AV audio to the HDMI audio input and directly to the Bose but nothing gets the audio out. How do I get the TV HDMI audio inputs out to the Bose?

You would connect the HDMI sources to this:

and the HDMI out of it to the TV. The audio out of the box would connect to the Cinemate.
