I have a dell xps m1210. It has a 1.8ghz core duoand 2.5 gGB of ram. Christmas is coming up and I am wondering if there is a sup $150 ssd that is at least 64gb that is good or if it is even worth it to put money into this laptop.

It depends on what tasks you're going to with the laptop. If you are not going to use it for gaming you can get a 120GB ssd for around $60 and clone it and replace the HD in the laptop. It'll bring new life to it.

Look at Amazon for your ssd. Your issues are that the laptop uses Windows XP. Since it is not supported is that an issue for you? It probably has an ide hard drive. If it does you are going to have to buy an adapter that will allow you to connect the ssd drive. So ide to sata connector. I had to buy mine from China. If your hard drive is already a sata drive then you will have no problems. But some laptops will not see a sata drive. I have an HP laptop so I don't really know what your experience will be. My loading times really improved when I switched to the ssd drive.
