The TV will be powered by SLI 970s and be used for gaming, photo editing (Photoshop), Netflix, blu-ray movies, and normal internet research. Which is the better monitor to buy?

Personally, I'd go with the Dell. The 4k display would be great, but HDMI just can't bring out the full capabilities for 4k. I'm also just not a huge fan of using TV's as monitors either, largely because the text is not as sharp as it could be. It isn't the biggest deal, just an annoyance really.
