Hi !

My laptop began to overheat a few months ago. So I decided to take it apart and fix it. After I finished applying everything, I tested it and it worked smooth as butter. But after I put it back completely there are lines all over the monitor and it doesn't start. It just shows HP. So is my laptop fixable ? BTW this is not my first time tearing my laptop apart and putting it back together.
Thanks in advance for the help guys !!

Hey there, jdaniel28,

Could you please explain this sentence?
After I finished applying everything, I tested it and it worked smooth as butter. But after I put it back completely

Lines all over the monitor would mean your graphics card is artifacting. This can come about from an overheating issue, improper contact with heat surface and the heatpipe assembly and/or the TIM wasn't applied properly.

Fixable, yes provided nothing internally is damaged.

Well. After looking at the monitor carefully I realized there were scratches on the inside of the monitor. I don't know how that happened. I looked for a new monitor on eBay but couldn't find one that was at a reasonable price. So I just gave up on the computer. I still have the spare parts just in case I need it. Sorry for the very late reply BTW
