Hi, I've a HP Envy 17 J184na being delivered today and I've since read damning issues regarding HP-Envy overheating. Have these issue been resolved in their more recent models or should I just return it and get a refund before I even power it on or open the packaging?

I'll be using it for architecture design software and 3D packages, revit, photoshop, autocad etc.

I bought it for its high spec but I am now worried i've wasted my money but at least I can get a refund before I open the packaging.

Based on my own experience I would never give the green light to buying an HP laptop or PC, not only because of hardware issues but also because of poor build quality (actually the two are connected). I've neither read nor heard anything to indicate that's no longer the case.
