My old drive (D) was getting full, so I bought a different one and set it to "C". I installed windows onto my new one and named it "Pierson". I've been trying to get into my appdata of my old hard drive that is under the name of Tek012. I couldn't see the appdata folder, so I set "Pierson" to "Owner" and gave full control. I still cannot see the folder, and I cannot restore it (in case it was deleted since I couldn't find it) and says I need permission.

Solution
How can you modify security permissions for a folder you can't even see? Doesn't make any sense.

AppData is a "hidden" folder so first you need to unhide it (Control Panel > Folder Options > View > show hidden folders and files)

Then change security permissions for that folder (right-click -> Properties).
