Hello, I'm looking for a laptop for a student, who plays a little, and watches movies.

1. What is your budget?
About 600-700$. I'm not quite sure it would be enough since I'm buying from israeli suppliers (which includes VAT + other costs)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
14 - 15.6 inches.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
I'm not sure, what do you recommend considering my uses?

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

5. How much battery life do you need?
At least 3 hours using office apps

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Rocksmith 2014 (I'd also need a compatible sound card),

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Office apps since I'm starting college, movies and medium rate gaming

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500-750GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Since I'm from Israel, I have israeli sites I'll check myself

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
At least 3 years of learning

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
I'm not sure I'll need one, it's not necessary.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I have a nice discount on Dell laptops, but I'd like to get another suggestions as well.

I'm considering buying a 128GB SSD, but I'm not sure I'll need it

yes, but that'll be expensive, won't take 100% the perfomance and it'll bring lots of problems. You are better off by either buying a gaming laptop or building a gaming desktop and buying a cheap laptop for school (I may suggest a playstation or an xbox + a cheap...

Those are not external GPUs but rather Discrete GPUs. If you are going to do any gaming besides team fortress 2, fifa/pes, portal 1/2, LoL, dota/warcraft, sims you'll definitely need one, the best one you can get. If you don't plan to do any heavy gaming an Intel HD 4400 should do a good job

I don't need to do any gaming 'on the run', only when I'm at home. Is it possible to connect an external GPU or a docking station and have the ability to run heavier games?
