Philips.freevents.laptop.x59 runs very hot Never have I disassembled a computer & am not a "techie". However, I suspect the "workaround" is programming-related. Suggestions? KEY-
 
Solution
If it is running hotter than it used to, it is more likely due to a cooling issue than anything. Maybe your fans are clogged by dust, maybe an air vent was blocked, possibly the thermal compound for the processor/GPU has deteriorated to a point where it is no longer effective.
