Hello,
A few months ago I tried turning on my HP Pavilion dv6. When I turn it on, it says that the hard drive failed to load and it does not work. I am an amateur and keen programmer, and I tried to fix it myself by replacing the hard disk. After I did, the same message was popping up. Then, I tried another one again. It did not work again. then, I put the old one back on and left it there for more than 3 months. Now, I want to use it again and I need some help fixing it.
Thanks.

So you've tried three different hard drives and they all say "hard drive failed to load"? That seems like some extremely bad luck depending on where you got the hard drives... where did you get the replacement laptop hard drives that you tried?

Does the machine still boot from DVD and usb? If not just ditch it, had a few of these HP laptops and they are just not worth it due to board level issues. This is why I favor Thinkpads, Dells, and Macs as well Toshiba ect. You can replace the board but to pay a shop to do it isn't worth it given that it is a HP.

That model had some very well known problems on the motherboard. It's not worth repairing.

Well, that's a big fat lot of help. Take it to a repair shop. That kinda negates the point of this forum. The first thing we tell people isn't generally "take it to a repair shop". Try to actually be helpful, or scarce, one of the two.
