Can I change my laptop's processor ?

Hi, I have a lenovo b590, 2020M 2,4 ghz / 4 gb / 500 gb/ gt 610M 1 gb. My question is : Can I change the processor and with which kind of processor ( AMD, Intel etc.) If someone can help me, please answer !

Maybe, but probably only within a small range of processors, for minimal actual gain.

AMD->Intel (or the other way)...not gonna happen.

It can be changed and there are different models with different cpus. I don't see any higher than an i3 though. There are the low power quad core i7 which is a decent bump and the same socket and tdp, but good luck on trying to find a cpu compatibility list.

yes you can change the processor to Intel® Core™ i3
Intel® Core™ i5
Intel® Pentium®
Intel® Celeron®
as it is configurable option by lenovo.
but it is good that if you are technically strong then only can to do this work.
