660 Ti is difficult to find nowadays and btw this is not the card you should look for. You'd better go with a R9280X or GTX 770. If it's to expensive for you then you should look at R9 280 (without "X").

Found a 660 Ti, it was either this or the 750 Ti but I heard 660 Ti was better.
I'm looking for the best bang for the buck without upgrading the PSU or any of that hassle money ain't a problem for me, just trying to be efficient and not waste any time. I don't think I need a GPU that is worth more than $300 not that big of a PC person since I own both next gen consoles there is no need really.

One if your going to put a newer gpu in your already system you need to be sure the power supply will handle it from what I known in the past most these systems have a 300 ish watt power supply and that will not be enough to power your system and gpu.
Yes the R 280 x / or 280 would be a very good upgrade to your system.

GTX970 is also interesting if you can afford it.

And,
HP only installed 460W for your PC, you must upgrade the PSU too if you want to get any of those GTX770, GTX970 or R9 280x.
Check also if the GPU can still fits in your case.

Don't really need extreme performance,
honestly, replacing the 260 with the 750 Ti would have been enough for me, you see my standards now. ( just for the DX 11 pretty much)

Ah, since you've already ordered 660Ti... We dont know what exact PSU you've got there. If it's not 80+ Bronze certified then you'd better think of buying a new one. Good 500W PSU would cost you about 60-70$.

Ok on the HP website it says the e9290f has 460w but the GTX 260 requires 500w "anyways" for some reason which came with this desktop.
Then theres the 660 Ti which requires 450w lol... isn't that all good? (If I were to actually "replace" the 260 with 660 Ti)

The PSU inside branded PCs are mostly crappy.
I would really recommend that you upgrade the GPU too for 660Ti.

Running 660Ti on 460W stock PSU will force your PSU to run very often to permanently near 100% load (perhaps even a bit overloaded). Even if it says that you need only 450W, 450W to 460W is almost 100%.

Running near full load or a bit over is ok for a short time (also depends on the PSU quality)...but....
The PSU and/or your entire rig will fall apart in no time, if you try to run it like that again and again.

I would really really recommend that you upgrade the PSU too.

I will keep that in mind, I know this is kind of risky but I like taking risks as long as it turns out good.
Could also order 750 Ti since I know that will fit like a glove with 300W.

GTX750Ti needs much less power.
If you wanna keep the PSU, 750Ti should be the better choice.
750Ti consumes about 15W less on idle and about 48W less on full load.
It is a huge difference for the PSU.

I'll see how long the 660 Ti lasts with 460W PSU since I have ordered it already.
If It turns out real bad, Ill just buy another desktop.

No, it will not that extreme.
You will notice if your PSU is not up to the job anymore.
Replace the PSU after the first symtoms and you won't need to buy a new rig.

OK, so I have received the gtx 660 ti today and just finished installing it on to my pc.
For some reason my screen is cut off on all 4 sides even at 1920x1080?
Is this because I haven't installed/update the new drivers for the 660 ti?
