Pictures show on cybershot but not computer with card reader or usb cable

And 8 gigabyte card is a SDHC(secure Digital High Capacity) card in most cases.

Older SD(Secure Digital) readers will NOT see this type of card.

They also have the newer SDXC(Secure Digital eXteme Capacity?) cards(even more capacity).

If you are reading with the camera it should still be working from the camera to the computer via usb however.
