EDIT: Problem solved! I had not pushed the fan deep enough into the container. Apparently I had to exert a bit of force so that it fit perfectly (although I didn't notice any difference). Anyway, moral of the story make sure the fan is pushed as far as it is capable of into the container lol

Hello everyone! I've searched everywhere on the internet and I still cannot find a solution. I enjoy playing this game called League of Legends, but lately I have not been able to play.

My laptop's fan would be extremely loud, so one day I decided I am going to open it up and clean all the dust out of the fan. So I did, and it works. However, I now never hear the laptop's fan being loud at all. I am having crazy fps issues, the game I play does not run smoothly at all. I feel like I can hear the fan, but I think it is just other hardware running.

This leads me to believe my fan is not running in the slightest.

Any help would be very appreciated.

EDIT: The first day or two, the laptop was running fine with slight fps spikes.

There is only one fan, with two screws that place it down. I unscrewed it, and lifted the fan and the fan container, then took out the fan from the container. I cleaned up the dust off the fan and placed it back onto the container and screwed it back up. If I did make a mistake somewhere, any ideas of what it could have been? I can open up my laptop and take pictures if it would help.

Could a wire/connector have come loose when you were reseating the fan? You mentioned that you took out of a fan container; could it have been placed incorrectly, causing it to not be able to turn? Sorry if I am bombarding you with questions, just trying to rule out the most obvious points where a mistake could have been made.

It could have been a wire. I'll check again and take pictures just in case.

And ask all the questions you want, you're only helping me identify the problem by doing so.

I opened it up again and do not see anything out of the ordinary.

The orange, copper colored thing (Not sure what you call it), gets extremely hot. Also, it's confirmed that the fan is not running because I had the laptop running while I had sight of the fan. I launched the the game that I play (the fan always goes off when I launch this game) and the fan did not move at all. It stayed in place from the moment I started the laptop.

I took some pictures in case they might be helpful.
