Same issue just happened to my Aspire. Fan and Blue Aspire led on, HD light never flashes, DVD/CD drives blinks bout 4 times. No POST beep. Blew all the dust out. Looked for anything in all the various drive ports. Replaced power supply; same.
My Acer Aspire won't start now. And the power and charging lights aren't turning on.
This notebook only brought me headaches from the start and now won't even power on!
Tried contacting Acer but I bought this piece of garbage in China and they refuse to give me support in any other country. Now I'd have to learn to speak Chinese and stay up late just to try and call their Chinese customer support, this company is just a joke, their customer support is ridiculous to say the least.
Obviously I won't be buying anything with this despicable brand again and recommend all my friends to stay away as well.
