Looking for good £150 monitor

Hi I am making my first pc soon and I just can't decide which monitor to buy. My gpus are gtx 570 in a two way sli and I will mainly be playing fps games like cs go and black ops 2.

I have got £150 to spend on this monitor so can that get me a 120hz monitor because my friends say that the 120hz or 144hz monitors are a lot better for fps games

My laptop has 60Hz display and i dont sense tearing and i am very very pleased compared to old CRT . Of course the more , the better .

I have done some research and apparently only people who have been playing for a while can realise 144hz compared to 60 and ive never used a 144hz monitor before so ill stick with the 60hz and buy a 256gb ssd instead of a 128
