HP Connectivity Issue

I've just bought a HP 15 Notebook. Since then I have had issues connecting to my wi-fi. I've read multiple articles about the same issue and have tried to resolve it using what I've read. This includes:

Disabling my Adapter and letting my computer find it again.
Removing the drivers and reinstalling them.
Completely wiping my computer.
Activating windows (note: this and wiping my computer provided a temporary solution until the computer either was shutdown and turned on later or it went to sleep.)

It detects my wifi but states the network key is incorrect, I've checked over and over it is correct.

The laptop can connect to another network without fault ie my phone's personal hotspot.

Any assistance would be amazing as I'm using this for work.

Thanks.

Sorry, I can't add nothing more, you should make a new thread in the wireless networking section, someone there with more experience will surely answer.

Sorry for double post, yes it says network key/password is incorrect although it is 100% correct.

Also, when i click on my network name in the purple bar to the right of the screen the network sometimes has a red and white 'X' next to it, sort of indicating that it's not working. However there are a number of other devices connected without issue?

That option doesn't exist. I know it does, but on my laptop it doesnt? :(

Is it? I withdrew my wifi on my phone and connected to it again with the same pass phrase. I tried this on my desktop too.

I can check what you said above but I can't on my laptop because a connection has never existed according to it.
Every now and again when I've selected the network and entered the passphrase its said about allowing it to scan nearby devices and what not but when I've clicked okay it then asks for the passphrase again?

Problem's still unsolved. D:
