Hello, I have an Asus K55VD laptop with a brand new HDD. I want to install Windows 7. I enabled the "Launch CSM" option in the BIOS. I also turned off Security Boot in BIOS Security section. I try to boot off a USB flash drive with Windows 7 setup files. I can launch the Windows 7 installer, but at one point it complains that it needs a DVD driver. I am not using the DVD drive, so I wonder why. I don't have that driver anyway. If I try to browse in the file browser that is available, my new HDD is not detected. Not even the USB flash drive I'm booting from, which is weird. The HDD is detected in the BIOS, though. I have tried switching the SATA options from IDE to AHCI back and forth, with no improvement. Also, the laptop boots successfully from a USB flash drive, but not from an SD card. How could I install Windows 7 on this laptop? Thanks.
