HDMI port hit by lightening

After big lightening storm, it looks like our HDMI port on tv is fried. We can connect w/the red/yellow/white cord but it's not hi def. Wondering about how much it would be to repair (Samsung 55") or just buy new tv.

You should be able to buy a replacement video board for it if you can find one. That would be significantly less that replacing the TV. Also, if it's under warranty, you should get it replaced that way but I'm sure you've thought of that.
