Hullo there, my laptop screen currently has a strange blue tint. Every time I boot up, my screen is normal up until a few seconds later when my computer is warmed up. Also, when I put pressure on the left side of my laptop, the screen goes back to normal. Does this have anything to do with the video cable or the fan? if so, is there a way to fix it.get rid of the blue tint thing?

(my laptop model is HP Pavillion Dv7)

Hi, its possible that the screen is simply broken and needs to be replaced or there is a lose cable or something else hardware related but its also possible that the settings are just wrong. If I'm not mistaken that laptop has an Nvidia GPU? If so go to the Nvidia control panel and search for color balance settings or something along those lines. Its been a while since I've used the Nvidia control panel so I'm not 100% sure.

Well, the computer doesn't have an Nvidia GPU, it's AMD. I've tried the control panel but that doesn't seem to work,
I think it's a physical problem rather than a software problem cause (like I said before), if I put pressure on the left side of the laptop (I forgot to mention this only works when my computer's fan or whatever you call the cooling thing is not too warm) the screen goes back to normal. I just want to know what I am doing before I disassemble everything, so any help or info about what I could do would help a ton.

Hmm, I'll test that out. However, I have never actually disassembled my computer before so should I ask someone else?

Okay, I might know someone who knows this techno-mumbo jumbo, so I think I can get him to help me out. I also got an Idea of what happened to my screen; the video cable that is under my keyboard might by interfered by the fan heating up but that's just my speculation.
