So I am getting these speakers and sub

http://Diamond 9.1 and SW150

and this amp

http://

What do I need to wire them up? Just don't want to buy it and not have the correct cables to wire it. Just to add I will be connecting my PC also. If you don't want to link me just tell me each cable I need.

to connect your speakers to the receiver you would need speaker wire.

20 or 22 AWG should likely work fine for your needs. to convert to metric http://www.technick.net/public/code/cp_dpage.php?aiocp_dp=guide_awg_to_metric

if you want to make it easier to connect you could get bananna clip conectors to put on the wire on both ends but this is optional.

to connect the subwoofer up to the receiver i would suggest buying a subwoofer cable. this would go from the receiver subwoofer out to likely the left rca input as this is typical (but check your manual to be sure...)

since you are in the uk... check out amazon.co.uk or the place you bought your speakers from... both should have such things.

ok thanks, do you think spending on a 2.1 setup like this will be better to use than my headphones? ATH-M50's btw.

wharfdale diamond speakers are typically considered to be very good quality for the money. i know the diamond 10's are highly respected but i'm not as familiar with the 9's

are they going to be better than your headphones? likely but also in different ways. while the m50 headphones are respectable (i have a pair) and do a great job with bassy songs they dont have a big soundstage and can get a bit hot after a period of time.

most of the time i use my home theater system on my pc (photos if you click build in my signature) and only use my headphones when i travel or when i need to keep things quiet or block outside noise.
