My laptop is HP Dm4x, 6470M chip already dead.
- Idle CPU temp around 47-53 (air conditioner room) and max load 65-80+ (web browser, indie games, opened 4tabs movie flv.......) after cleaned laptop/applied thermal paste on CPU/Mainboard and the dead GPU 6470M

- Mainboard temp + cpu temp ~100 before clean

so now is the question, how to reduce laptop temp ?

thanks

Well first i would buy a laptop cooler, When i use one my temp drops like 9 degrees. Here is a link for a good laptop cooler http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-NotePal-X3-Cooling/...

Next i would go into you battery settings and put your performance at 99% that stops turbo boosting
Try it from there

turbo boosting disabled..., 2.70ghz instead 3.20ghz(boosted), slower but cooler and noise reduce :D

one question : so dead gpu chip can make laptop hotter ?
