I bought a HP Pavillion laptop from PC World 12 days ago by ordering it online & collecting instore. There was not one on display for me to see it. I have chronic pain in my arms & neck & once I set it up realised you had to press the mouse pad hard to get it going, far too hard for me. I am due to have an operation for the bulging disks that cause the pain. . I appreciate you can't just take laptops back but wondered if someone can come up with a fault that I can tell the, preferably one that won't be able to show up on their diagnostic tests. I don't want a refund, I just want a machine that I can use the mouse pad without having to push hard as it hurts my arms. PC World will run a diagnostic test which will prove there is nothing wrong with the machine but they won't just replace the laptop unless there is something wrong with it. Thank you for any help or advice you can give me. Karen

Thank you for your reply & normally I would agree with you that honesty is always the best policy, but PC World are a law to themselves & would never accept a Dr note as reason to return. They have the monopoly of where we can buy computer items in UK & seem to think that they can treat customers exactly as they want to & that we will still buy from them in the future, & to a degree they are right.
