So i have been looking at laptops for college and i needed one with a lot of ram and a good processor so i found an HP ENVY 15-j102np
Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ Quad Core
RAM 12 GB
HDD 1 TB
GPU NVIDIA® GeForce™ GT 840M
2.19kg of weigh
(Here http://www.fnac.pt/HP-ENVY-15-j102np-Computador-Portatil-Computador-Portatil/a797863#ficheDt)
And i was wondering, ill be keeping this laptop for 3-5 years, i am concern about HP is it a trusted brand? Will it last and is the build quality good? Does it bring a lot of bloatware? Thanks guys

I have a HP Laptop that I purchased in 2003 - other than the battery going bad a few times (common with all laptops) it has worked for 11 years....I will say that it isn't prime time any longer (max RAM is 2GB and it has an ancient Celeron processor) so it is very limited as to what it can do.

One of the things I recommend is making sure that you can get local service on your laptop - some of them are RMA only - which means you could be without a laptop for 4-6 weeks....and if you are using it for school...that is a long time to be without.

I recently purchased a new ASUS laptop - the HP didn't have similar specs for the price (I got a really good deal at Fry's). I have a lot of trust in HP, Dell, ASUS and Lenovo laptops - I have used them and recommended them to friends, family and clients. It all comes down to price and warranty coverage.
