Hi is this a decent laptop for gaming :)

Solution
The A10 laptop won't be any faster than the original one with the 840M video card. The 840M is about the same speed as the nVidia 8800GT/9800GT desktop video cards which are still OK for some games. I ran Skyrim on pretty good settings on a 9800GT card and manged WOW on almost maxed out settings, the 840M would do the same.

For league of legends it'll be fine any other game not so much. Its best to stay away from u version CPUs they are low powered CPUs meaning lowered performance and the 840m isn't a mobile gaming graphics card really its more for streaming and movies and such, its better than integrated but not great

The i5-4210u will be fine for playing games. It is a dual core CPU with a base clockspeed of 1.7GHz but can go up to 2.5GHz (two core used) or 2.7GHz (one core used) because it has a feature Intel calls Turbo Boost.

The nVidia GT 840m is fine for playing games. It is a mainstream performance mobile GPU which means in most modern day games that are not graphically demanding you should be able to games at 1366x768 resolution with "medium graphic settings" and still get decent performance.

Don't bother with the laptop using the AMD A10. While the nVidia GT 840m is not considered a powerful graphics chip, it is definitely more powerful than the Radeon HD 8670m. It would not even be a fair contest.
