I am looking to purchase a gaming laptop, it'll be utilized for both gaming and also as a tool to stream. I have a budget of $1700 although I am not opposed to saving money if its not necessary.

A few laptops caught my eye, but then I found this site and realized you guys are well more educated then I could ever be. Here's some of the laptops that I liked... I wouldn't mind it being a bit more portable and my first choice was definitely idealistic for such, however I read it doesn't overheat which is a major concern for me.

1) ASUS ROG G750 Series G750JS-DS71 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4700HQ (2.40GHz) 16GB Memory 1TB HDD 256GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M 17.3" Windows 8.1 64-Bit

2) MSI GT Series GT70 Dominator Dragon-2202 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4810MQ (2.80GHz) 12GB Memory 1TB HDD 128GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M 3GB GDDR5 17.3" Windows 8.1 64-Bit - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152601

3) MSI GT70 Dominator-894 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4800MQ (2.70GHz) 12GB Memory 1TB HDD 128GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M 3GB 17.3" Windows 8.1

If you guys could help me pick i'd appreciate it. Also I actually prefer 15 inch screen laptops, but I couldn't fnid one that was within the specs I need (I am a heavy gamer, which I assume the 870 GTX requires the extra space so they have to make the screen 17.3's.

Thanks,

xiV

I personally would go with the asus even though it has the worst cpu as the performance difference is not that much. Also the asus has good cooling and noise development. They also make a good screen which is good when you want to stream your games and play games as they will look good and sound good.

look at the MSI GT60 Dominator its in a 15.5" screen and has the same specs as the gt70 and a little cheaper. I have a GT60 2oD that I bought 1.5 years ago with a 780m in it. Use it for work every day and game on it almost every night and get together with friends every other weekend to game.

Thanks for your feedback Velo3100, Are there any other options that wouldn't weigh 11lbs and not overheat.. Reason being is I have two metal rods in my back and carrying this around to school and work is likely to give me trouble. Also you said it had a worst CPU, while streaming is important I would be hooking it up into my HD TV or utilizing my desktop so its more to reduce CPU lag while streaming..

Thanks again, your feedback is proving helpful.
