I am currently using Mitashi 2.1 speakers which are not good at all . The bass quality is very poor . I am planning to buy new 2.1 speakers . I have JBL speakers in my car . Though not that loud , its very pleasant to listen music on those speakers . The clarity is too good .The bass has that punch but does not cause headache . Same is the case with my JBL headphones . I want to buy speakers which have these qualities . JBL 2.1 speakers are out of my budget . Is there any other brand or model which will give me the features I wish inside my budget ? What are the specifications of the speakers to look at while buying so that it fulfills my wishes ?

Hello,

A good system:

For more bass and less sound definition, go with:

http://www.amazon.com/LOGITECH-Z313-Multimedia-Subwoofe...

EDIT: what is the exchange rate between R and $?

The main factor is THD (total harmonic distortions) for the entire audio spectre (20Hz---20kHz); a decent system will have a THD < 1% . Another factor is indeed SNR (signal to noise ratio). A good parameter is also the power, but the power should not be the main factor.

Bear in mind that none of the parameters will give you a hint of how the system will sound, so the best is to listen live some of the systems using your kind of music. Generally speaking, a more powerful system (more watts) will give you some headroom and you will not feel the need to dial to the maximum the power knob, thus having less distortions.
