i know its defaulted at 48hz, but is that just the 4k? i want to buy this cheap beast, and i would probably constantly have it on 1080p. would this make it possible for it to reach 60hz, and thereby 60fps?

umm.........to say the truth, I don't think it's possible unless lenovo allows it. If it's not a 60Hz monitor then you probably cannot

so the refresh rate is bottlenecked to 48 by the display itself? i assumed it was limited because of the 4k resolution only?
for example with hdmi on a normal monitor you can get 1440p at 30hz OR 1080p and below at 60hz. on a 60hz monitor at least. so the question is, what is the bottleneck in this equation? :)

There is a FullHD model. Then the laptop will be cheaper (with the FHD model). If you want to run 1080p all the time, why buy a 4K model?
