How to install operating system?

I am not sure if im posting this in the right category.
So, i recently bought a Lenovo Y510p without operating system, also i don't have a DVD drive (i got secound graphics card in the ultrabay). I was wondering if i could get some advice.
Can i use external DVD drive to install windows? usb maybe? Help me please guys.
 
Solution
Stick the OS on a USB stick, it will work. You'll need to set the computer to boot from the USB stick however, so when you turn on the PC you'll have to keep pressing whatever button opens up your BIOS. Usually the boot screen will say 'press F8 for BIOS' or something along those lines, the exact button can vary. Inside the BIOS just look for a boot priority option and select your USB stick as the first device to boot from (make sure the USB is plugged in before you boot).
