Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a good chromebook (heard that I should aim for i3 or k1 versions) that has a long tested battery life, wifi and 3g and a touchscreen (for handwriting math).

The upcoming acer 13 wont suite me due to not having a touch screen sadly.

I'm starting my math degree soon and I want a machine that has a long life, and is suitable for math too (can support writing with a stylus for example).

Does any good chromebooks come to mind? Also what apps/environment is recommended for that kind of studies?

Thanks in advance.

The chromebook is basically an Internet browser that really cannot download as many programs as say a Windows computer. If most of the stuff you do is online, then the Chromebook will suit your needs but if you will need to download advanced math programs of some sort it is not the right laptop. The chromebook has a small hard drive, too, so if you need a lot of space there are many better alternatives.

I'm kind of asking if there are any math students utilizing chrome books already, and to be honest as a student google docs kind of covers anything, I'm just worried about how to write down and solve equations on a laptop/chromebook

I dont know if im waiting for stronger chromebooks to arrive since im starting uni in late October, but linux is not one of my goals for it :)
