acer laptop E1-532 is not turning on

Solution
Connect an external monior to it, your screen may be bad. Does anything come up on the screen when you turn it on?

You may need to conect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, then turn it on and quickly close the lid. That should force the laptop to think that the external monitor is the mian display, although I don't know if all laptops do that or just some models. I know I have had that teqnique work several times.

Please consider this option only if your warranty has expired or if you know what you are doing (since opening up your device will void its warranty).

I had the same problem, but managed to solve it by opening up the RAM compartment, which is right next to where the battery sits, and moving the single RAM stick to a different slot.

I only did this because my laptop is old and currently has no warranty - so I wanted to explore every possibility before having to fork out money for repairs. Plus, there's no online solution on the dozens of sites I combed through that worked for me, before this random idea. I hope it helps someone.
