tv problems from hdmi to tv

Hi i recently got a sharp aquos 60 inch tv and whenever i switch back from hdmi to tv i get nothing and the only way i can get tv is to retune it why is this happening and how do i fix it

Assuming that by "retune" you mean you have to rescan for channels then I would suggest two possibilities. One is that the TV requires you to go through the entire setup without skipping anything before it stores the information. The more likely problem is that the Sharp needs to be serviced since it is not storing the channel scan information.
