Right now I have run a 3rd gen i3 with Intel HD 4000 on my laptop. I have a decent rig at home to play intense games. However, I see myself spending more time on the road and less at my house so I would like a laptop that can play games somewhat decently. I dont really want to dish out big bucks because I would probably only play a few MMOs and the occasional more intense game such as ARMA 3, COD, Witcher 3.

I have been looking at laptops with dedicated graphics cards ( used and new laptops), but I am not seeing anything in my price range that outperforms Intel HD graphics enough to justify spending money. I don't really know enough about AMD to figure out which graphics processor may work, and Nvidia is incredibly pricey for mobile GPUs. Does anyone have any recommendations that will let me moderately (even at mid-low settings) play games in my price range or am I out of luck?

Yah i dont think there will be very many good choices under 1000 dollars. Maybe a used gaming laptop would be around 600 but there is always a risk when buying used especially if your getting a high performance gaming laptop.

If you're going to want a gaming laptop comparable to a $600 desktop, you're going to have to spend twice that.

The first has HD 4000,while the other two have much more powerful, dedicated graphics.
All the best. :)
