Hi I'm got a problem trying to connect my laptop to my Samsung ue55f8000 smart/3d TV I plug hdmi into laptop and TV go over to source go onto the one I need and all I get is no signal I've tried near enough everything reset TV different hdmi cable and socket laptop display settings etc with no luck, but I tried the same hdmi and laptop on my 27" monitor and it works, same with my old 42" TV it works straight away so I'm guessing it's the Samsung ue55f8000 at fault even tho my xbox ps3 and sky box is working? I have no clue!

Try plugging another computer into the TV HDMI port and see if that works, if not there is something wrong with it or you are trying to access the wrong input. Try another HDMI, too, if there is one. Also, what is the resolution of the television and what is the processor/GPU of the laptop?

I've tried my brothers laptop and that did the same thing, I've got my xbox ps3 and my sky box connected to the TV via hdmi and there fine but when I go to connect either laptop through hdmi nothing happens just says no signal check connection etc. I've adjusted the resolution and still nothing very weird not sure what's wrong!

I have the same problem with ue48f8000 TV try a shorter hdmi cable my laptop connects up to about 10m after that the connection says no signal check connection so i think its a cable length issue.
