Dish Tv (SD) with HDTV

I bought a DIsh tv (SD) and plugged it with my Sony HDTV 32" 1080p. The result is very poor in terms of video and audio both. Need help please

That's what'll happen if you plug a SD connection into a HDTV. Audio is supposed to be better for HD than SD and video is 576i for SD but 1080i for FHD, so what're you're seeing (and hearing) is SD A/V on a HD set. Upgrade your connection to HD to view channels on HD. HDTV won't convert SD content to HD.
