hi, i have a brand new lenovo G510, with i7 4700MQ , 8gb dual channel , AMD r7 m265 2gb and 120gb ssd for Os and 1tb hdd. I noticed that when its idle the cpu temps are around 45-50 but when i play a game called crossfire it pike from 50 to 83C in one game.the game is not that heavy to play the cpu usage is around 35% max and ram usage 2.2gb. (cant see the GPU temps)

the laptop came with Free dos and with a CD with windows 8.1 drivers but i installed Win7 and the drivers for win7 that i found on web. Can this overheating may be cause from some wrong power management settings?

Same problem here. Cpu temps can get easily to mid 80s and can fluctuate up to 20c in 1 second. With prime95 full load test it even gets to more than 96c in less than 5 mins. If anyone has any idea whats wrong with this laptop pls replay. TY :)

I think i found something that helps the temps go down. Change power plan to high Performance and click to change plan settings then change advanced power settings found the pocessor power managemnt then maximum proseccor state put both on batterry and plugged in 99%. That will lower your cpu tmps without loosing performance. It worked for me wihout loosing a single fps rate.
Change your gpu from catalyst to work full performance hile pluged
New temps are idle from 37-42 and full load 72-75 with temperature outside 38C

what do u mean under full load? What temps do u get if u test it with prime95 after few mins. I get over 95 c under full stress even after few mins.
