Is my hp worth fixing or should I get something new? Is there anything out there that tops it for 700 dollars?

Laptops aren't easy to upgrade or repair. Especially HP and Dell. There's hardly any info that will help.

Needs a new motherboard and hd. I'd like something that has a processor and gpu on part with what I have.

HDDs are fairly cheap. Say $50. Then you need to put Windows back on it.

Motherboards aren't though. Say $300+

Plus if the CPU/GPU were soldered to it then you may aswell have to buy them again

I doubt the motherboard is dead, Unless you dropped the naked mobo then Its probably a BGA chip that needs repairing, are there any bga repairs around you? what's actually wrong with it?

Water was spilled on the motherboard. I may be able to get a replacement off of ebay.
